Mountains and Valleys
Breath-taking panoramas only two steps away from the city. This is the main characteristic of the mountains around Bergamo: from rolling hills close to the city to the 2,000 meters of the tormented crest of alben, to the imposing splendor of the Arera range at 2,500 meters; above that, Valcanale and its fir lined gorge disseminated with ancient villages where visitors can breathe genuine alpine air at its best. And then, the towering peaks of Pizzo dei tre Signori, Corno Stella, Pizzo del Becco on one side and on the other, the great “three thousand”: Pizzo di Coca, Redorta, Scais, with their tracks, lakes and paths through meadows, screed and rocks evoking emotions hard to describe.
Ski-lifts, alpine ski-run, Nordic skiing tracks, snowboard, ice –skating, and much more is offered by the Bergamo mountains in their winter version.
